Mixed Fern & Boxwood Green Wall Panel 1m x 1m is a 1m x 1m artificial green wall panel built around fern fronds threaded through dense boxwood. The panel is UV stabilised for outdoor use, rated to -25°C and certified fire retardant Class B1, with a manufacturer rating of 8-year indoor / 5-year outdoor. Panels interlock on all four sides so a run of any size tiles without a visible grid line, and the foliage mix is held consistent between production batches — which matters when the same specification is installed across several sites over a season. Upkeep is close to nothing: no water, no light, no feeding, just a dusting a few times a year. Specified most often for reception walls and retail interiors where a busy, layered texture reads well up close.
Mixed fern and boxwood is the default green wall, and it is the one to quote when a client has said “a green wall” and nothing more specific. The boxwood gives a dense, even base that hides the backing grid completely, and the fern fronds break the surface up so it does not read as a hedge. Because no single leaf shape dominates, it sits comfortably in a corporate reception, a restaurant and a residential hallway without looking like it was chosen for any one of them.
It is also the most forgiving panel in the range to install. The foliage is deep enough to absorb a slightly uneven substrate, so a wall that is out of true by a few millimetres does not telegraph through the finished surface the way it does with a flatter panel. Where a run meets a ceiling or a column, the fern fronds can be teased over the edge to soften the line without any trimming.
