Artificial Phalaenopsis is supplied as an individual stem for building custom flower walls, event installations and retail displays, or for adding colour breaks to greenery panels. UV stabilised with a manufacturer rating of 5-year indoor / 3-year outdoor and cold resistant to -45°C. No water, no light, no upkeep beyond an occasional dusting. Note that this line carries no fire retardant rating, so confirm the requirement with your venue before specifying it for a public interior.
Phalaenopsis is the orchid most people picture, and this stem reproduces the arching spray with flowers stepping down its length. It is the most upmarket-reading item in the floral range and it goes into hotel reception displays, spa interiors and luxury retail, usually in small quantities and on permanent display rather than for events.
The arch of the stem is set rather than fully flexible, so the display position needs to suit the curve rather than the other way round. Specified in a tall vase or a wall-mounted holder it looks right; forced into a low, wide arrangement it does not. Colour holds well indoors, and at five years indoor rating it outlasts the display schemes it is usually part of.
